Women’s Soccer Announces 2026 Schedule

PITTSBURGH – The Pitt women's soccer program will play nine home matches in 2026 as part of a 20-match schedule announced on Thursday morning. The Panthers open the season at Ambrose Urbanic Field on Aug. 12 against Youngstown State and will also host several marquee opponents as part of a loaded ACC slate that includes Duke, Florida State, Wake Forest, and Notre Dame.

Head coach Ben Waldrum enters his second season leading the program on the heels of a memorable 2025 campaign that ended with a 1-0 victory over No. 1 Notre Dame at Ambrose Urbanic Field, the program's first-ever win over a top-ranked opponent. Pitt returns 17 players from that roster, including defenders Sophie Rourke and Olivia Lee anchoring the back line, along with 2025 leading scorer Katie Ellermeyer. Lucia Wells, Lola Abraham, Mya Archibald, and Sage Stelzer also return after impactful 2025 campaigns. Complementing that experienced core is an incoming class that blends elite freshman talent with transfer additions who bring proven collegiate experience and immediate ACC-ready ability.

Exhibition games against Rutgers (Aug. 5) and WVU (Aug. 8) to open the preseason
Road trip to the West Coast to face LMU (Aug. 20) and Santa Clara (Aug. 23) before returning home
Road ACC contests at Virginia Tech (Sept. 17), Syracuse (Sept. 24), NC State (Oct. 8), Notre Dame (Oct. 15), and SMU (Nov. 5)
Non-conference home games against Texas (Aug. 16), Liberty (Aug. 27), and Dayton (Sept. 6)
Road non-conference matchups at Cornell (Aug. 30) and Ohio (Sept. 3)
