Women's Soccer Opens ACC Play at Louisville Saturday

PITTSBURGH – The Pitt women's soccer team starts Atlantic Coast Conference action at Louisville Saturday. The Panthers are entering conference play on a four-game winning-streak and a six-game unbeaten streak.

Pitt has found its stride offensively over the last two matches scoring six of its 14 nonconference goals in that span. Adi Bianchin accounted for five of the six goals in matching 3-0 wins over Ohio and Dayton.
Bianchin's hat trick against Dayton is the first for a Panther since 2024 when Magali Gagne had three in a 7-0 route of Mercyhurst.
The Panthers are 11-16-3 over the last three seasons in ACC play. Pitt ended ACC action last season with an upset win over No. 1 Notre Dame.
The Panthers are looking for their first ACC Tournament appearance since 2023 when they made the semifinals and made a run to the Elite 8 of the NCAA Tournament.
Sage Stelzer has been one of the best facilitators for the Panthers, leading the team in assists with four. She is currently tied for sixth in the ACC with four helpers on the year.
Pitt has had plenty of set piece opportunities during nonconference play. The Panthers have drawn 62 corners on the season, the second most among ACC teams.
Pitt is top 10 in the ACC in goals allowed per game with 0.63. Without the two penalty kick goals given up, the Panthers would own the third best GAA in the ACC at 0.375.
Pitt has the 11th toughest remaining schedule in the country. Their remaining opponents own a .789 win percentage. ACC teams occupy the top 14 toughest schedules remaining.
Pitt has had 11 players record a point this season and seven different goal scorers.
The Panthers are yet to allow more than one goal in a game this season.

The Cardinals finished nonconference play with a 6-1-0 record and are on a five-game winning streak.
Louisville was selected ninth in the ACC Preseason Poll, four spots ahead of Pitt at 13.
Midfielder Amelia Swinarski was named to the Preseason All-ACC Team. Swinarski has 12 points on the year with four goals and four assists.
Sophomore Karina Peat leads the way for the Cardinals offensively with 14 points on four goals and six assists. Peat had a five-point game against IU Indy with a goal and three assists.
Saturday's match is the first time the Panthers and the Cardinals will meet since 2024 and will mark the 13th all-time meeting between the programs.
Louisville leads the all-time series 4-8-0.
