PITTSBURGH – The Pitt women's soccer team looks to extend its unbeaten streak this week, heading to Ohio Thursday afternoon and hosting Dayton Sunday for senior day festivities.

The Panthers are coming off a comeback victory at Cornell, scoring two second-half goals to secure their second consecutive win. The game-winner came from Sofia Doheny as she netted her first of the season. Katie Ellermeyer also scored her first of the year on a penalty kick.

Thursday's contest at Ohio will stream on ESPN+. Sunday's game at home will air on ACCNX with Ethan Lemler and Rachael Palmer calling all the action.

BITS FROM THE 'BURGH

Elli Johnson recorded the first shutout of her career against Liberty. The rookie made four saves in the 1-0 victory.
With wins in the final two non-conference games, the Panthers could match their win total (6) from 2025.
Ellie Rowlands, Celine Ottah, and Maci Tew have netted their first goals in the Blue and Gold this season. Rowlands and Tew's goals are their first of their collegiate careers.
Celine Ottah and Lola Abraham lead the team in points with five (2G-1A). Katie Ellermeyer has four points on the year after recording her first goal of the season at Cornell.
Katie Zailski has played all but eight minutes this season and has played the most minutes of any Panthers field player this season.
Eden Jones and Laila Vloet made the first starts of their careers at Cornell Sunday.
The Panthers have had six different goal scorers and 10 different players record points in the opening six games.

SENIOR DAY

The Panthers will honor eight seniors Sunday prior to kickoff: Mya Archibald, Sofia Doheny, Sofia Iori, Claire Jones, Olivia Lee, Mariama Dabo, Sage Stelzer and Lucia Wells.

ABOUT OHIO

The Panthers travel to Ohio for the third time in program history. Pitt is 0-2 in Athens with the last meeting coming in 2011. Pitt and Ohio met last season at Ambrose Urbanic Field, with the Panthers winning 1-0.
The Bobcats are 2-1 to begin the year with wins over Mercyhurst and UIC and a loss to Northern Kentucky. Ohio finished 2025 with a 5-9-5 record and a 3-5-4 mark in Mid-American Conference play. Ohio missed the MAC Tournament last season for the first time since 2020.
The Bobcats were picked eighth in the 2026 MAC Preseason Coaches Poll.

ABOUT DAYTON

Pitt and Dayton clash for the third time in program history Sunday. The Panthers downed the Flyers 3-0 in last year's meeting in Dayton.
The first ever meeting came in 2008 with Dayton earning a 3-2 double overtime win.
Ellermeyer scored twice in last year's contest while Lola Abraham added another.
The Flyers are 1-3 to open the season, playing a tough opening schedule with losses to No. 20 West Virginia, Kentucky, and Louisville. Dayton plays Wright State Thursday at home before making the trip to Pittsburgh.
Dayton is coming off a 2025 Atlantic 10 regular season and tournament championship. The Flyers went 10-0 in A10 play last season, and were picked to repeat in the Preseason Coaches Poll.
Dayton fell to Xavier in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament in 2025.
