Bianchin's Brace Leads Women's Soccer to 3-0 Victory at Ohio

ATHENS, OHIO – The Pitt women's soccer team scored its third consecutive win and extended its unbeaten streak to five with a 3-0 victory at Ohio. Adi Bianchin scored a brace in the win while Sofia Doheny added another.
Bianchin's two goals are the first of her collegiate career. The sophomore now leads the Panthers in points on the season with six. Sage Stelzer added two assists on the day.
The Panthers controlled the tempo early getting into the final third in the opening minutes, drawing a corner kick in the first three minutes of action.
Two consecutive corner kicks in the ninth minute led to Bianchin's first of the contest. Off the corner, the ball came out to Stelzer at the top of the box. She played it in, finding a darting Bianchin who finished past the Ohio keeper for her first collegiate score.
In the 22nd minute, Doheny netted her second of the season, again off a pass in from Stelzer.
Less than two minutes later, Bianchin scored her second of the contest. Katie Ellermeyer chipped the ball over the Bobcat backline right to the feet of Bianchin. Bianchin perfectly placed the ball past the keeper, extending Pitt's lead to three, which they took into the intermission.
Despite 10 shots with three on target in the second half, the Panthers couldn't extend the lead.
Elle Jaramillo, Addison Roemer, Sofia Iori, and Maya Bruce made their collegiate debuts in the match.
The Panthers outshot the Bobcats 24-4 and did not allow a shot on goal over the full 90 minutes.
Three goals are the most the Panthers have scored in a game this season and the most goals for Pitt since they recorded a 3-0 win over Dayton on Aug. 24, 2025.
Up Next
Pitt returns home Sunday to host Dayton. Senior day celebrations will take place prior to the match as the Panthers honor their eight seniors.
