Panthers Take on Hoyas Monday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m.
PITTSBURGH – The University of Pittsburgh women's basketball team travels to Washington, D.C., to take on Georgetown Monday, Nov. 19 for its first road test of the season.
The Panthers and Hoyas are set to clash at 7 p.m. at McDonuogh Arena.

- The Panthers (2-2, 0-0 ACC) closed out their four-game homestand with a 65-48 victory over Cincinnati at the Petersen Events Center Friday, Nov. 16.
- Redshirt senior Aysia Bugg set a career high with 23 points, posting her second 20+ point outing of the young season.
- Three Panthers put up 10+ point performances on the evening with Bugg (23), Cassidy Walsh (14) and Danielle Garven (13) all aiding the offense.
- Sophomore Cara Judkins had a solid defensive outing for the Panthers against the Bearcats, pulling down a career-high 13 rebounds in 25 minutes of action.
SCOUTING THE HOYAS
- Georgetown (3-1, 0-0 Big East) dropped its first decision of the season Friday afternoon, falling to James Madison, 69-57, on the road.
- The Hoyas opened the season with three-straight wins, defeating Richmond (73-53), Maryland Eastern Shore (74-55) and Loyola (45-30) before Friday's loss.
- Graduate guard Mikayla Venson leads the Hoya offense, averaging 14.3 points per game, scoring 10+ in each of the first four games to open the season. She also leads the team in assists (18), adding 4.0 rebounds per game.
- Senior guard Dionna White has led the defense on the season, totaling 28 rebounds for an average of 7.0 boards per game. She's collected two blocks and six steals, while also contributing significantly on offense, averaging 13.8 points per game, shooting 37.3 percent from the floor, 35.3 percent from behind the arc and 71.4 percent from the free throw line.
LOOKING AHEAD
- Pitt continues its five-game road trip, traveling to Nashville for the Challenge in Music City. The Panthers will face off with Wisconsin (Nov. 23), Arkansas (Nov. 24) and Tennessee State (Nov. 25).
- The Panthers' road swing will come to a close at the ACC/Big 10 Challenge in Evanston, Ill., when Pitt takes on Northwestern.
- The Panthers return to the Petersen Events Center Dec. 5, taking on Fordham in a game that will kick off a series of four straight at home.
